Cybersecurity panel

Envescent participates in Arlington Chamber-hosted cybersecurity panel

We were thrilled and honored to be invited to participate in a cybersecurity panel hosted by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce alongside Arlington’s Economic Development BizLaunch initiative on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020.

Our participation on the panel was co-hosted by Alexander Chamandy (left), and he covered the risks, trends and best practices for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Michael South (center), another panel co-host of Amazon’s AWS focused on cloud security, delved more in to best practices and mitigating risk and Dan Blaine (right) of Marsh & McLennan Agency presented on the human element of cybersecurity and how insurance against attacks and breaches can help businesses stay afloat. After the panelists presented there was a Q&A session with the audience and then an opportunity to network.

The event was well attended with local businesses represented by 105 attendees within the audience. We’re ever appreciative to both the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Arlington’s Economic Development initiative for the invitation to speak and participate in this event on cybersecurity–an issue whose time has truly come.

If you missed our presentation or if you saw it but wanted to learn even more, please check out this new cybersecurity resource which we’ve launched for SMBs.
